Student Support Teams

Your student’s advocate is the foundation of the student
support team.  Your advocate is your first point of contact for all
correspondence; it is imperative you open all mail and answer all phone calls
from your advocate.  In addition, please be sure you are reaching out to
your advocate first to communicate with our school.  If your advocate
needs to include another staff member to address your questions, s/he will
coordinate that communication.  Your advocate is your “go to” for all
things OHVA! 

Our student support teams are also comprised of a group of staff who work alongside your student’s advocate and teachers to provide additional resources and services, if needed.  These team members include our social workers, absence intervention team, truancy officers, and of course, your advocate.  The goal of the student support team is to provide personalized, focused support, to ensure families are familiar with all our programs and resources here at OHVA, know how to access and navigate all our platforms, and can take advantage of and fully participate in our model of education.
