Frequently Asked Questions

What activities can my student do in the K12 Zone?

There are many activities for students in the K12 Zone. Students can meet other classmates virtually; play games with others, like chess, tic-tac-toe, rock-paper-scissors; and more. Students can explore our Big Universe and student store to check out school swag. Students can also join one of our e-sports teams within the K12 Zone. Check out a full calendar of events here!

How is the K12 Zone monitored?

The K12 Zone is monitored by K12 moderators who are trained on the layout of the Zone, interacting with students within the Zone, the code of conduct students must follow within the Zone, and how to take action if a student breaks that code of conduct.

What can moderators see in the K12 Zone?

K12 moderators can see students within the Zone, and if they approach a single student or group of students, they have the option to video, audio, or chat with them. The moderator will be notified if there is a dispute between students and is trained to address the issues.

Only K12 students, K12 teachers, and moderators can join the K12 Zone.

How is the K12 Zone different than playing video games?
